Introduction: In this project, we designed a poster and a Facebook banner to promote an event at Frick Park. We explored using different illustration techniques on Adobe Illustrator and the utilization of a color palette. I decided to design a Facebook banner for the Neighborhood Jazz event along with the event poster. — Adobe Illustrator Exercises These Adobe Illustrator exercises demonstrate different uses for Path Finder and Pen Tool when creating illustrations. The techniques I learned in the exercises proved to be useful when I began to do illustrations for my posters.

In project 2, we explore form and composition. Object and the space they create are manipulated to communicate meaning visually. — Project 2 Brief: Using the given word pairings, create a composition using black squares to illustrate the word. The word pairings are: playful/serious, noisy/quiet, and dangerous/safe. Additionally, create a figure ground composition using black squares in order to create a reversible black and white image.
